Right now i am at the part when Gareld is having a dreem, and he wakes up on his birthday and smells brekfast. His aunt queen was making it, and he also had seen his mom. The book says that she was really skinny.

i really like this book because it has alot of emotion in it. i like that gerald is not afraid to stand up to jordan and fight for angel even if it means him getting hit.
a type of theme i got from the book is that you can never let yourself get down and that you have to look for a new beggining. although geralds aunt died he was sad but he still stays with angel. i think that gerald will finally tell jordan right and wrong and angel will have a new life.

something i like about this book is it draws the reader in. with all the drama and things going on its hard to stop reading. i actually feel really bad when jordan hits angel and how they play that game i think its sick but i think in the end it will play itself out

so far I have learned in Forged By Fire is that gerald's aunt loves him more that his mom does. The reason why I'm saying this
is because of the way she takes care of him. She treats him better than his mom does.

So far in Forged By Fire, I have read about a boy named Gerald. I have read that his mom is on drugs, and so far he has alot of rough times with his mom even though he is only 3 years old. But they also have a few good times, expesualy when his mom says thet he is the best son ever.

The significance of "Forged by the Fire" is the final fight between Gerald and his stepfather Jordan. Gerald predicted that this fight was bound to happen, it was like he for told a prophecy. However in the mix of Jordan unleashing his fury on the boy, a fire started. Gerald tried to get his sister Angel and leave, but a drunk Jordan wanted a fight. Gerald ends up tripping over Jordan and passes out. He waked up in an ambulance next to his sister and mother, he also finds out that Jordan in now dead.
I liked this story because it was exciting and very interesting to read. I am looking forward to more of this authors stories.
-Gerald and Jorand begin a fight
-A fire starts, making everyone lose conscious
-Gerald wakes up, and Jordan has dies.

i just stared reading this book but so far i like it. i think that his mother has a bit of a harsh way of punishing him. i have only gotten to the part where he is in the hospital after the fire but iam really interested in reading the rest of the book and seeing how it goes on

The significance of "Forged by the Fire" is how irresponsible Gerald's mom is. She is a junkie who basically is a terrible mom. She leaves her 3-year-old home alone many times to go get more drugs. His Aunt Queen, who is in a wheelchair, is a great mother, she tries to get custody of Gerald but fails. One day Gerald burns down his apartment and barely gets out alive. He awakes at the hospital to his Aunt Queen who tells him what happened. She also says that he will be living with her from know on.
I like this book so far because it is interesting like it's spin of "Tears of a Tiger."
The developing points are;
-Geralds mom leaves him alone in the apartment.
-Gerald burns down the apartment by playing with maches.
-Gerald moves in with his Aunt Queen

The significance part of the book so far has been that Gerald was able to talk to his friend Rob's dad and tell him everything about what has been going on in his house. With the help of mr.washington Gerald and angel were able to get Jordan prisoned for six years. By which made Monique mad because according to me it seemes like as if she was sprung off him,and i say that because she choose Jordan over own children. Ever since Jordan had left all three were living really happy.
the developing points in the story so far are:
-Angel took dancing classes and landed the main role
-Monique found a job.
-Monique was in an accident and Jordan never bothered caring for her at all

The significance in this story so far is that Gerald dislikes living with his mom who he calls Monique and his abusive step father.
The developing themes are:
- Jordan tried harassing his own daughter in a sexual way.
- WHen Jordan was not around everyone was really happy.
- When Gerald would take a hit for Angel from Jordan.

1. what strikes me about this book is that no matter how much time passes by in andy's life he still cant stop blaming himself for the death of rob. np matter how much good and support he wont get over it. that is a realistic time base for something like this.
2. something i like about this book is the articles and homework that they put in the story. the poems and homework kind of give you a better look at some of the characters.

The intersting thing so far is that why would Gerlad's mother marry Jordan if she knows he beats up Gerald and Angel. I mean that is really foolish of Monique to do and then not even protect her kids from thier abusive father.
The main developing parts so far are that:
-Aunt Queen died suddenly
-Gerald was forced to move in with his mom, stepdad and Angel his little stepsister.
-Jordan Angel's father beats her up who is a year old and she's covered with bruises on her legs.

The significant part of the book was when Gerald who was three then. was left home all by himself. Supposedly he found a lighter and started playing with it and the fire caught the kitchen curtains. Gerald didnot know what to do so he went to his little hididng behind the couch and started crying. But luckily the fire department got thier on time and saved Gerald, and since that day gerald's custody was given to his Aunt Queen who was handicapped and walked in a wheelchair.
I do like this story but Tears of a tiger was more interesting. This book is alright so far but tears of a tiger had a better beginning. I am trying to get myself in the story.
The developing points in the story:
-When Gerald's mom burned Gerald's palm of the hand with a lighter
-When Gerald got the news about his mom coming back on his 9th bday which upset him.
-When aunt wueen gave gerald a brand new red speedy bike for hi bday that Gerald always had wanted.
